MAT 2020 Result for February session was released on February 25, 2020. Candidates can access their result using Roll Number and Registration Number. Exam in CBT mode was conducted on February 2, 2020 and PBT mode was held on February 16, 2020. Post declaration of results, merit lists will be declared by respective institutes on the basis of which further selection rounds will be organized.

  • Since the MAT 2020 Result has out, therefore, the students are now eligible to download the individual scorecard from the official AIMA MAT2020 result website.

  • Individual scorecard of MAT 2020 result would be sent to the students, neither by e-mail nor by post after the AIMA MAT 2020 result declaration.

AIMA organizes MAT 4 times in a year: February, May, September and December. Registration for May Session will start on March 9, 2020. It is a national level MBA entrance examination that grants admission for management related courses. 

  • MAT Score Card is accepted by more than 400 B-Schools. The scorecard will be declared on the official website. Downloading the scorecard is necessary to proceed with the counselling process.
  • Candidates who make the cut on the basis of the merit lists of institutes are required to take part in the counselling process. The counselling process includes group discussion, personal interview and/or written test.

MAT 2020 score is valid for one year. Over 400 B-schools accept MAT scores for admissions into management based programs. Candidates shortlisted after declaration of MAT 2020 result will go to the next rounds of group discussion and personal interviews.

MAT 2020 score card will be declared on the official site and candidates must download the score card. The score card is necessary for the next step, the counselling process. Candidates who make the cut on the basis of the merit lists of institutes must take part in the counselling process. Steps to Download AIMA MAT 2020 Result

Before you download your MAT 2020 Result along with downloading the MAT score card, you should follow 4 consecutive steps. Follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • First, the students would need to log on to the official website of AIMA and then click the MAT 2020 result.
  • Now, you should enter a 6 digit Registration form number and then fill your 9 digit Roll No. Once you fill and submit those criteria, you can download the MAT 2020 score card through the download link. 
  • Simultaneously, the students can see their MAT2020 result on the screen along with the MAT 2020 score card. 
  • Last, you can also download the MAT 2020 result apart from downloading the score card. Better do a printout and keep it with yourself since the hard copy would not be sent individually to the candidates.

AIMA provides the facility to access MAT Scorecard via SMS on the registered mobile number of the candidate. To get the MAT 2020 Result on phone, type MAT Application Form Number DoB (DD/MM/YY) and send the message to 54242. A message containing the scorecard of the candidate will be received. 

In addition to this, Candidates will also receive their MAT 2020 Results via post. Candidates can request for the same as well. 

  • Candidates can draft an application stating request for Duplicate scorecard
  • A photocopy of admit card duly signed by the invigilator needs to be attached

MAT 2020 Cut Off

Cut off for MAT 2020 will be declared after the declaration of the results. MAT 2020 cut off will be declared on the basis of a number of things such as the availability of seats, number of candidates, difficulty level and previous records. The candidates who meet the cut off are then considered for the next rounds of group discussions and personal interviews.

How is MAT 2020 Score Calculated?

MAT Score Card contains Candidates name-Roll Number-DoB-MAT Sectional Scores-Overall Scores-Composite Scores and Percentile.

  • Each score report contains 6 Scores: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skill, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Composite Score and Indian and Global Environment.
  • Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning are given on a score of 0 to 100 each. Scores above 80 and below 20 are rare.
  • The composite score of the MAT 2020 result is given on a scale of 199 to 801. Scores below 200 are written as 199 and above 800 are given as 801 though they are extremely rare in MAT 2020 result.
  • The Indian and Global Environment is given separately from a score of 0 to 100 in MAT 2020 result. Scores for this section below 20 and above 80 are also rare.
  • The composite score is calculated from the first four sections of the MAT 2020 result. Equal weightage is given to all four sections while calculating the composite score.
  • In the score card of MAT 2020 result, the above mentioned percentile figures along with the 6 scores would be mentioned. 
  • The percentile figure would be varied and changed marginally in the MAT 2020 result with each of the MAT exams. 

MAT 2020 Percentile

Process to Apply in Colleges after MAT 2020 Result

Once the MAT 2020 result is out, AIMA sends the score card to five preferable B-Schools without charging additional money, if you appear in either CBT or PBT exam. However, if you appeared in both the CBT and PBT exam, your score card would be sent to seven different B-Schools by AIMA. 

  • First, candidates should select some B-Schools from the list, once they receive the score card and MAT 2020 result
  • After you choose the B-schools, you need to match your score with the previous year’s cut off score of the prefered B-Schools. It is necessary to check before you apply for the admission process.
  • Again, you should recheck whether a specific B-School accepts the MAT 2020 result for the admission process in spite of getting confirmation from the AIMA MAT or not. 
  • If and when you are selected you will receive a call letter from the institute
  • If you clear the interview round you will be admitted into the institute.

Candidates should note that the selection process varies from institute to institute. Some institutes require interview apart from MAT 2020 result while some have direct admissions after the MAT cut offs.

Validity of MAT Scorecard

MAT Score and MAT 2020 result is valid for a period of 1 year for admission to participating colleges. Candidates can acquire a duplicate score card within 15 days of the announcement of the MAT 2020 result. In case candidates apply for Scorecard after 15 days, a demand draft of INR 100 has to be made in favour of “All India Management Association”, New Delhi with a request to issue the same.

MAT 2020 Counselling

Counselling will begin after the declaration of MAT 2020 Result. Colleges and institutes that accept MAT 2020 will release their merit list on the basis of which candidates are shortlisted. The candidates selected are informed through call letters or registered email ids. The selection process includes group discussion (GD), personal interview (PI) and a written ability test (WAT) as per the college’s schedule.

The institute will send a call letter or email id to the shortlisted candidates which will contain the following details-

  • Last date to complete the registration
  • Date, time and venue of GD/ PI/ WAT
