Hostinger Web Hosting and Email Prices 2026: What Renewal Costs

Hostinger's India plan pages print four numbers for each plan, and only one of them is the number people quote. There is a struck-through monthly rate, an introductory monthly rate, the total for the 48-month term the page defaults to, and — in smaller type under the button — the rate it renews at.

That last figure is the one that decides what hosting costs you, and on 14 September 2026 it was between 2.6 and 4.2 times the headline rate on every shared plan Hostinger sells in India.

The cheapest plan has the steepest step. Single advertises Rs. 69 a month and renews at Rs. 289 — a 319 percent increase. Business advertises Rs. 249 and renews at Rs. 649, a 161 percent increase. The pattern is consistent across the range: the lower the entry price, the larger the multiple waiting at the end of the term.

This is the part worth planning around. Because the cheap plans step up hardest, renewing the entry plan costs more per month than starting the plan two tiers above it.

Single renews at Rs. 289 a month. Business starts at Rs. 249 a month — Rs. 40 less, for what Hostinger's own comparison lists as unlimited websites against Single's one. Premium renews at Rs. 449 against Business's Rs. 249 introductory rate. The same thing happens on email: a Business Starter mailbox renews at Rs. 69 while the Premium mailbox above it starts at Rs. 49.

None of that is hidden — every figure here is printed on Hostinger's own pages. But it is printed in three different places at three different sizes, and the arithmetic that connects them is not printed at all.

The 48-month term is the one the page defaults to and the one the headline rate belongs to. So the honest way to read the cost of a website is two terms: four years at the introductory rate and four at the renewal rate.

On Single that is Rs. 3,312 followed by Rs. 13,872 — Rs. 17,184 for eight years, or Rs. 179 a month averaged. That is 2.6 times the Rs. 69 on the pricing page, and it is still, in absolute terms, cheap hosting.

The reason to do the sum is not that the number is large. It is that it changes which plan is the right one. Averaged over eight years Single costs Rs. 179 a month and Business Rs. 449 — a 2.5x gap, against the 3.6x gap the headline rates suggest.

Each plan also prints a struck-through monthly figure — Rs. 399 on Single, Rs. 599 on Premium, Rs. 699 on Business, Rs. 1,699 on Cloud Startup — and a 'regular price' for the whole term, Rs. 19,152 on Single against the Rs. 3,312 actually charged.

On every plan, that struck figure is higher than the renewal rate. Single's Rs. 399 is 38 percent above the Rs. 289 it actually renews at; Premium's Rs. 599 is 33 percent above its Rs. 449. So the struck number is not the price after the discount ends, because the page tells you elsewhere what that price is.

We are reporting the two figures Hostinger prints and the gap between them, not making any claim about why they differ. The practical reading is simple: the renewal line under the button is the number to plan with, and the struck line is not a price anyone in the published ladder pays.

Email is sold separately from hosting and priced per mailbox, which is the detail that catches people out. The Rs. 29 headline is Rs. 29 for one mailbox; a five-person business on the Starter tier is paying Rs. 145 a month at the introductory rate and Rs. 345 a month after renewal.

The renewal steps here are gentler than on hosting — 127 to 143 percent rather than 161 to 319 — but they run in the same direction and they multiply by the number of people in the company.

Note also that the free domain and free email that come bundled with the Premium and Business hosting plans are stated as free for the first year on Hostinger's own pages. What they cost in year two is a separate line we have not priced here, because the hosting pages do not state it.

• Read the line under the button, not the number above it. Every plan prints its renewal rate there, and on shared hosting it is 2.6x to 4.2x the headline.
• Do not assume the cheapest tier stays cheapest. Single renews at Rs. 289 a month; Business starts at Rs. 249. If you expect to stay more than four years, the cheap plan's second term costs more than the expensive plan's first.
• Take the longest term you are confident about. The introductory rates quoted on this page are for the 48-month term; shorter terms carry higher monthly rates on the same plans, and every month at the intro rate is a month not at the renewal rate.
• Count mailboxes before you price email. Rs. 29 is per mailbox, so a five-person team is at Rs. 145 a month now and Rs. 345 after renewal.
• Ignore the struck-through figure. On all four shared plans it sits above the renewal rate that the same page publishes, so it does not describe any price in the ladder.
