Hostinger VPS Price India August 2026: Plans From Rs. 599/mo

Hostinger's cheapest KVM virtual server in India, KVM 1, advertises at Rs. 599 a month with a 64 per cent off badge. The number that matters more sits two lines below it on the same card: Renews at Rs. 999/mo for 2 years. That is the standing price, and it is what you pay for as long as you keep the server after the first term ends.

Notice what that does to the badge. Hostinger strikes KVM 1 through from Rs. 1,649 to reach 64 per cent - but its own renewal rate is Rs. 999, which is Rs. 650 a month below the crossed-out figure. The 64 per cent is measured against a price the card itself says you will never be charged. Against the renewal rate, the honest discount on KVM 1 is 40 per cent.

Those four monthly rates are printed twice on the page - once on the plan cards and again in Hostinger's own FAQ block further down, which states that its KVM plans "range from Rs. 599-Rs. 2,199/month" and then lists each tier individually. The two sets agree, which is a useful check on a page where prices hydrate late.

One line under the pricing grid governs all of them: "All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan." There is no month-to-month option at these rates. The advertised figure is an average of a term you buy in one go.

Run every plan's advertised discount against its own renewal rate instead of its crossed-out rate and the ladder rearranges itself.

The plan Hostinger flags as MOST POPULAR - KVM 2 - has the weakest real discount on the page at 33 per cent, and the gentlest renewal at 1.5x. KVM 4 has the steepest genuine discount at 54 per cent and also the harshest renewal, more than doubling to Rs. 2,399. Those two facts are the same fact: a bigger first-term discount is a bigger distance to fall.

None of this makes the entry price fake. Rs. 599 is a real price you really pay for a real term. It does mean the badge percentage is not a measure of what you are saving against Hostinger's own standing rate, and the second number on the card is the one to plan around.

The hardware ladder is clean - each tier doubles vCPU, RAM, disk and bandwidth together, so there is no tier that quietly withholds one resource to justify the next step up. Hostinger lists NVMe SSD storage and AMD EPYC processors across the range, a 1 Gbps network on every plan, and full root access on all four, since KVM gives each server its own kernel rather than a shared one.

Where the ladder stops being even is on price per unit. That is worth its own table, because it is what decides which plan is the sensible buy rather than which is the cheapest.

At the intro rate, KVM 1 costs Rs. 150 per GB of memory and KVM 4 costs Rs. 69 - less than half. At renewal the gap is starker still: KVM 1 sits at Rs. 250 per GB while KVM 2 and KVM 4 both land at Rs. 150, and KVM 8 at Rs. 137. The entry plan is the most expensive memory on the page in both directions.

So the case for KVM 1 is not value - it is the cheque size. Rs. 599 a month is the smallest commitment Hostinger will take for a virtual server, and for a single low-traffic site or a staging box that is reason enough. If you are choosing between KVM 1 and KVM 2 on anything with real traffic, KVM 2 doubles every resource for Rs. 200 more now and Rs. 200 more at renewal, which is the best-priced step on the ladder by a distance.

Hostinger does not print a multi-year total, so the figures below are ours: the advertised monthly rate across a 24-month first term, plus the stated renewal rate across the 2-year renewal cycle the card names. They exclude GST, because Hostinger's page states its prices do.

The shape of every row is the same: the second half costs considerably more than the first. On KVM 4 the four-year bill is Rs. 83,952 by our arithmetic, and Rs. 57,576 of that - more than two thirds - falls after the discount lapses. Budgeting off the Rs. 1,099 headline would understate the four-year cost by roughly Rs. 31,000.

• Buy the longest term you will actually use. Because the monthly rate is the term total divided by its months, a longer commitment is the only lever that moves the advertised number. It is also the only one that is irreversible, so size it to a plan you are confident about.
• Start one tier up rather than resizing later. KVM 2 costs Rs. 200 a month more than KVM 1 now and doubles every resource; migrating a live server between tiers costs an afternoon.
• Check a coupon against the first-term price only. Codes apply to the term you buy, never to the renewal rate - which is where most of a four-year bill sits.
• Set a calendar reminder for the renewal date. The step-up ranges from 1.5x to 2.18x depending on plan, and it arrives as one upfront charge for the next cycle, not a gentle monthly increase.
• Price the tax in before you compare. Hostinger's figures exclude GST; if you are comparing against a host that quotes tax-inclusive, add 18 per cent to every number here first.
