Hostinger VPS Plans 2026: Rs. 275 a vCPU Now, Rs. 550 on Renewal

Hostinger's India VPS page sells four plans, and read on 14 September 2026 the hardware ladder is unusually tidy: 1, 2, 4 and 8 vCPU cores; 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB of RAM; 50, 100, 200 and 400 GB of NVMe; 4, 8, 16 and 32 TB of bandwidth. Every single figure doubles at every single step, with no exceptions and nothing bundled in or taken away.

The introductory price does not behave that way at all. It runs Rs. 599, Rs. 799, Rs. 1,099 and Rs. 2,199 a month — steps of 33.4 percent, 37.5 percent and 100.1 percent for hardware that doubles each time. Because the specification doubles and the price mostly does not, the rate per unit collapses as you climb: a vCPU core costs Rs. 599.00 a month on KVM 1 and Rs. 274.88 on KVM 8, and a gigabyte of RAM costs Rs. 149.75 against Rs. 68.72.

That is a real and unusual finding, and it points somewhere specific: on the introductory rate, KVM 4 and KVM 8 charge almost exactly the same per core (Rs. 274.75 and Rs. 274.88), so the entire per-unit discount is spent by the time you reach the third plan. Whether you should climb that far depends entirely on the next section.

Every price above is a first-term rate. The renewal rate is printed on the same plan card — Hostinger does disclose it, which is more than some hosts do — and it changes the arithmetic completely.

Run the same per-unit sums on the renewal figures and the ladder flattens out. A vCPU core costs Rs. 999.00 a month on KVM 1 and Rs. 549.88 on KVM 8: a 45 percent fall across the whole range, against the 54 percent fall on the intro rate, and almost all of it happens in the first step. KVM 2, KVM 4 and KVM 8 renew at Rs. 599.50, Rs. 599.75 and Rs. 549.88 per core — which is to say the same price, three times over.

So the shape of this pricing is: on the first term, buying a bigger plan gets you a steadily better rate per core. On renewal, it does not. Three of the four plans converge on roughly Rs. 550 to Rs. 600 per vCPU per month and the only plan that is genuinely expensive per unit is the smallest one.

KVM 4 carries 69 percent off, the biggest discount badge on the page. It also has the steepest renewal step on the page: Rs. 1,099 a month becomes Rs. 2,399 — a rise of 118.3 percent. KVM 8 doubles as well, at exactly 100.0 percent. KVM 1 rises 66.8 percent and KVM 2, the gentlest, 50.1 percent.

Put it on the two-year basis the renewal line uses and the numbers get concrete. KVM 4 costs Rs. 26,376 for the first twenty-four months and Rs. 57,576 for the next twenty-four at the published renewal rate. KVM 8 goes Rs. 52,776 then Rs. 1,05,576. KVM 2 — the plan with the second-smallest badge — goes Rs. 19,176 then Rs. 28,776, which is the smallest jump of the four in both percentage and absolute terms.

None of this is concealed and none of it is improper; the renewal rate sits on the card next to the badge. But the badge and the renewal step point in opposite directions here, and the badge is the number in large type.

The cleanest way to read this ladder is one rung at a time, because the intro price and the renewal price step by completely different amounts at the same rung.

The middle step is the one to look at. Going from KVM 2 to KVM 4 costs 37.5 percent more in the first term — Rs. 300 a month — for double the hardware, which looks like the obvious upgrade on the page. On renewal that same step costs 100.1 percent more. The upgrade that is cheapest to take is the most expensive one to keep.

Going the other way, KVM 4 to KVM 8 doubles the intro price (+100.1%) but raises the renewal by less (+83.4%), so it is the one rung on this ladder that becomes relatively better value over time rather than worse.

Each card prints a crossed-out figure above the intro rate: Rs. 1,649, Rs. 2,099, Rs. 3,499 and Rs. 6,199 a month. It is worth being clear about what that number is, because it is easy to read it as “what this costs normally”.

It is not the renewal rate. KVM 1 is struck through at Rs. 1,649 and renews at Rs. 999 — the struck figure is 65 percent above the price you would actually pay in year three. On KVM 2 the gap is 75 percent (Rs. 2,099 against Rs. 1,199), on KVM 4 it is 46 percent and on KVM 8 it is 41 percent.

So there are three prices in play on every card and only two of them are ever charged: the introductory rate for the first term, the renewal rate afterwards, and a struck list price that sits above both. Pick the plan on the renewal rate, not the badge. KVM 4 has the biggest percentage on the page and the biggest renewal step behind it. KVM 2 has the smallest renewal step of the four at +50.1 percent, which over four years is the difference between Rs. 47,952 and Rs. 83,952 in total outlay on those two plans.

If you only need one core, know what you are paying for it. KVM 1 is the only plan on this ladder that is expensive per unit at both prices — Rs. 599.00 a core on the intro rate and Rs. 999.00 on renewal, against roughly Rs. 275 and Rs. 550 at the top. If your workload might need a second core within the term, KVM 2 is Rs. 200 a month more now and Rs. 200 a month more later.
