So we read all four plans off Hostinger's own page and put the two numbers side by side: what the first term costs, and what the next one does. The cheapest plan turns out to have the steepest step-up on the page, at 4.2x, and the dearest the shallowest, at 2.7x. Everything below is Hostinger's own figure or simple multiplication of it.

One new observation: the page header reads “Up to 75% off” while the Single plan card on the same page shows 83% off. Hostinger still publishes no end date for these rates.

The Monsoon Sale branding that was on it a week ago is gone from the site entirely, and two prices have moved: Premium from Rs. 139 to Rs. 149 a month and Unlimited from Rs. 199 to Rs. 249, which takes their 48-month totals to Rs. 7,152 and Rs. 11,952 and their badges to 75 and 64 per cent. Single stays at Rs. 69 and Cloud Startup at Rs. 599. All four renewal rates - Rs. 289, Rs. 449, Rs. 649 and Rs. 1,599 - are unchanged. We have retitled the page away from the sale name Hostinger no longer uses.

Hostinger's India shared-hosting ladder starts at Rs. 69 a month on the 48-month term - a rate the page shows as 83 per cent off Rs. 399. The three plans above it are Rs. 149, Rs. 249 and Rs. 599 a month on the same term. When we first read this page on 15 August the plan page carried Monsoon Sale branding and Premium and Unlimited sat at Rs. 139 and Rs. 199; re-reading it on 21 August, the Monsoon Sale name has gone from Hostinger's India site entirely while the promotional rates continue, with those two plans now Rs. 10 and Rs. 50 a month dearer. Hostinger prints no end date, so the only honest thing to say about the deadline is that these were the prices on the day we read them.
The number that decides what hosting actually costs you is further down the same page, in small text under each plan: the rate it renews at. Every figure in the table below is Hostinger's own, re-read on 21 August 2026 - the two right-hand columns are ours, and they are just multiplication.

Read the last column first. The Single plan is the cheapest way onto Hostinger and the steepest renewal on the page: Rs. 3,312 for four years, then Rs. 13,872 for the next four. Cloud Startup costs 8.7 times as much upfront and renews at 2.7x rather than 4.2x. Note also that Hostinger's own hero copy advertises "starting at Rs. 149/mo" while the plan table below it opens at Rs. 69 - the first figure is Premium, not the entry plan.
What the 83 Per Cent Is Measured Against
Each plan's badge is computed against a "regular price" that is simply the crossed-out monthly rate multiplied by 48 months. Single shows Rs. 3,312 against a regular Rs. 19,152, which is Rs. 399 x 48. Premium shows Rs. 7,152 against Rs. 28,752, which is Rs. 599 x 48. Unlimited: Rs. 11,952 against Rs. 33,552, or Rs. 699 x 48. Cloud Startup: Rs. 28,752 against Rs. 81,552, or Rs. 1,699 x 48.
So the percentage is arithmetic on an undiscounted rate that no Hostinger customer is currently being asked to pay - not on the renewal rate, which is what you will actually pay from year five. Measured against the renewal rate instead, the promotional discounts look like this: Single is 76 per cent below its own renewal rate, Premium 67 per cent, Unlimited 62 per cent, and Cloud Startup 63 per cent. Those are still real reductions. They are just smaller, and they are the ones that describe your second invoice.

Single, Rs. 69 a month
One website, 10 GB of SSD storage, weekly backups, a free domain for the first year and one free mailbox. This is the plan for a single portfolio, a CV site or one small WordPress blog, and the constraint that bites first is not storage - it is the one-website limit, which you hit the moment you want a staging copy or a second project. At Rs. 3,312 for four years it is Rs. 69 a month; at renewal it is Rs. 289.
Premium, Rs. 149 a month
Three websites, 20 GB SSD, weekly backups, and two free mailboxes per website for the first year. Premium is Hostinger's volume seller because three sites covers a freelancer with a couple of clients, and because the price gap to Single is Rs. 80 a month rather than something structural. Note the backup cadence is still weekly - daily backups start on the plan above.
Unlimited, Rs. 249 a month
Unlimited websites, 50 GB of NVMe rather than SSD storage, daily backups with restore, unlimited mailboxes free for a year, and 15 AI build credits instead of five. The two upgrades worth paying for here are the daily backups and NVMe storage; "unlimited websites" on shared hosting means unlimited within the same pool of CPU and memory, so twenty small sites are fine and two busy ones may not be.
Cloud Startup, Rs. 599 a month
Unlimited websites, 100 GB NVMe, daily plus on-demand backups, and dedicated resources rather than a shared pool - which is the actual difference between this tier and the three below it. Its renewal step-up is 2.7x, and at Rs. 28,752 for four years it is a business expense rather than a hobby one.
How the term length changes the price
Every rate quoted on this page is the 48-month rate, which is the one Hostinger's plan page defaults to and the only one that produces the headline figures. Shorter terms carry higher monthly rates on this and every shared host - the 48-month commitment is how the Rs. 69 exists. The practical consequence is that the sale price and the lock-in are the same decision: you are pre-paying four years to get it. If you are not sure the project will outlive the year, price the 12-month term on the plan page before committing, and read the renewal column above as your real long-term rate either way.
How to Pay Less Than the Sale Price
- Buy the longest term you are confident about, not the longest term offered. The 48-month rate is the cheapest per month and the largest sum at risk if the project stops.
