Hostinger's AI builder is priced like hosting rather than like software, which means the figure on the card and the figure you will actually live with are different numbers. Premium reads Rs. 149 a month. The same line reads "Get 48 months for Rs. 7,152 (regular price Rs. 28,752). Renews at Rs. 449/mo." Four years charged at once, then roughly triple.

We read hostinger.in/horizons first-party on 5 October 2026. Below: all three plans and what each renews at, the point where renewing the small plan costs more than starting the big one, the credit condition that can close the refund window before the 30 days do, and what happens to a project if the plan ever lapses.

What the three AI Builder plans cost, as printed

Hostinger's AI website and app builder - the product that merged its website builder with Horizons, as its own FAQ explains - sells on three plans. Every figure below was read from hostinger.in/horizons on 5 October 2026.

Entry is the Premium plan at Rs. 149 a month. The card qualifies it in one line: "Get 48 months for Rs. 7,152 (regular price Rs. 28,752). Renews at Rs. 449/mo."

Two things are doing work there. The term is 48 months - four years, not one - and the page states elsewhere that "All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan." So Rs. 149 a month is Rs. 7,152 charged once. Every 48-month total on the page divides exactly by 48 to its advertised rate.

PlanStruck rateYou pay now48-month totalRenews at
PremiumRs. 599/moRs. 149/moRs. 7,152Rs. 449/mo
UnlimitedRs. 699/moRs. 249/moRs. 11,952Rs. 649/mo
Cloud StartupRs. 1,699/moRs. 599/moRs. 28,752Rs. 1,599/mo

The renewal is about three times the introductory rate

Each card prints its own renewal figure, so the step-up can be read straight off the page rather than discovered in year five.

Premium goes from Rs. 149 to Rs. 449 a month - up 201%. Unlimited goes from Rs. 249 to Rs. 649 - up 161%. Cloud Startup goes from Rs. 599 to Rs. 1,599 - up 167%. Those are our arithmetic over Hostinger's published rates.

Over a second 48-month term the renewal rates come to Rs. 21,552, Rs. 31,152 and Rs. 76,752 against first-term bills of Rs. 7,152, Rs. 11,952 and Rs. 28,752. The entry plan's second four years cost three times its first four.

There is a second way to read the Premium renewal that matters more at checkout: Rs. 449 a month to renew Premium is 80% more than the Rs. 249 a month it costs to start on Unlimited - the bigger plan, with unlimited websites and ecommerce. Introductory ladders and renewal ladders are set independently, and on this page they cross.

PlanFirst 48 monthsNext 48 months at renewalIncrease
PremiumRs. 7,152Rs. 21,552+201%
UnlimitedRs. 11,952Rs. 31,152+161%
Cloud StartupRs. 28,752Rs. 76,752+167%
One number appears twice on this page in two different roles: Rs. 28,752 is the "regular price" printed on the Premium card and also the actual 48-month bill for Cloud Startup, the top plan. The same figure is a hypothetical on one card and a charge on another.

The money-back guarantee expires on credits, not only on days

This is the clause most likely to catch someone out, and Hostinger states it plainly in its own FAQ: "All paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, as long as fewer than 30 credits have been used."

Set that against the page's own estimate of what building costs: "a simple business page usually takes 5-10 credits" in Agentic mode, where each action through the AI chat spends them. At 10 credits a page, three or four pages can take you past the 30-credit line while the 30 days are still running.

The free trial is separate and smaller: "both building modes can be tested for free, no card required. For conversational building, you get 5 free AI credits to start."

There is a way to build without spending them. "Manual mode doesn't use AI credits" - the drag-and-drop editor - and the page notes you can "edit text and images manually and directly in the content editor, no prompting needed". If the refund window matters to you, that is where to spend the first 30 days.

Credits are spent twice. Once while you build - "Credits are used every time you create or edit your project through the AI chat" - and again after launch: "Once your project is live, credits are used each time your visitors interact with AI-powered features like chatbots or content generators." A busy chatbot is a running cost, not a one-off.

What happens to your site if you stop paying

Two clauses in the FAQ answer this, and they point in opposite directions. The hard one: "if your hosting plan expires and isn't renewed, your project will no longer be accessible and all data will be permanently deleted."

The offsetting one: "what you build is yours. You can edit or export the complete source code at any time and take it with you", and "if you ever want to move elsewhere, you can export your code and self-host it on any other platform."

So the exit exists, but it has to be taken before the plan lapses, and the plan in question is a four-year prepaid one whose renewal costs roughly three times what the first term did. Export is the step to diarise, not to improvise.

One limitation worth knowing before you buy: "Hostinger's website and app builder doesn't currently support building native mobile apps for the App Store or Google Play. What it does build are web apps" - responsive, but not publishable to an app store.

Every figure and quoted condition on the AI Builder page, 5 October 2026Premium: Rs. 599/mo struck through, Rs. 149/mo; "Get 48 months for Rs. 7,152 (regular price Rs. 28,752). Renews at Rs. 449/mo." Described as: "Launch your first website - from portfolios and resumes to blogs and link-in-bio pages", 2 mailboxes per website free for 1 year. Unlimited: Rs. 699/mo struck, Rs. 249/mo; 48 months Rs. 11,952, regular Rs. 33,552, renews Rs. 649/mo; "For growing businesses. Unlimited websites, AI tools, ecommerce, full flexibility." Cloud Startup: Rs. 1,699/mo struck, Rs. 599/mo; 48 months Rs. 28,752, regular Rs. 81,552, renews Rs. 1,599/mo; "For businesses that need maximum performance and scalability." The page states "All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan," and that ecommerce is "available at the checkout". FAQ: 5 free AI credits for conversational building, no card required; "Manual mode doesn't use AI credits"; "a simple business page usually takes 5-10 credits"; "All paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, as long as fewer than 30 credits have been used"; hosting, a domain and business email included, with a custom domain free on annual plans; Stripe, PayPal and AdSense integrations named; code export supported; no native App Store or Google Play builds; project data "permanently deleted" if the plan is not renewed.

Five things to settle before you pay for four years

  • Read the renewal, not the struck rate. Premium renews at Rs. 449 a month against Rs. 149 now - a 201% step-up, printed on the card.
  • Check the cross-over. Renewing Premium at Rs. 449/mo costs 80% more per month than starting Unlimited at Rs. 249/mo.
  • Spend your first 30 days in Manual mode if you want the refund intact. The guarantee holds only "as long as fewer than 30 credits have been used", and a simple page is 5-10.
  • Budget credits as a running cost. Live AI features consume them on every visitor interaction, not just while you build.
  • Export the code before the plan lapses. Hostinger says the project "will no longer be accessible and all data will be permanently deleted" if it is not renewed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Hostinger AI Builder cost in India?
Three plans, read on 5 October 2026. Premium at Rs. 149/mo, Unlimited at Rs. 249/mo and Cloud Startup at Rs. 599/mo, each an introductory rate on a 48-month term. Because "All plans are paid upfront", those are single charges of Rs. 7,152, Rs. 11,952 and Rs. 28,752 respectively. The struck-through rates shown beside them are Rs. 599, Rs. 699 and Rs. 1,699 a month. Prices change without notice and promotional rates are time-limited; the price at your own checkout prevails.
What does Hostinger AI Builder renew at?
Each card prints it. Premium "Renews at Rs. 449/mo", Unlimited at Rs. 649/mo and Cloud Startup at Rs. 1,599/mo - step-ups of 201%, 161% and 167% over the introductory rates. Over a second 48-month term that comes to Rs. 21,552, Rs. 31,152 and Rs. 76,752, against first-term bills of Rs. 7,152, Rs. 11,952 and Rs. 28,752. Worth noting before you pick a tier: renewing Premium at Rs. 449 a month costs more than starting Unlimited at Rs. 249 a month. The rates are Hostinger's; the percentages are our arithmetic.
Can I get a refund on Hostinger AI Builder?
There is a guarantee and it has two conditions, not one. Verbatim: "All paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, as long as fewer than 30 credits have been used." Since the same FAQ estimates that "a simple business page usually takes 5-10 credits" in Agentic mode, a few pages of AI building can exhaust the credit allowance well inside the 30 days. Manual drag-and-drop editing "doesn't use AI credits", so building that way keeps the window open. We did not request a refund and cannot describe how the policy is applied in practice.
What are AI credits and do they run out?
They are Hostinger's unit of AI usage and they are spent in two places. "Credits are used every time you create or edit your project through the AI chat" while you build, and "Once your project is live, credits are used each time your visitors interact with AI-powered features like chatbots or content generators." The page says usage depends on complexity, that a simple business page is typically 5-10 credits, that you can top up at any time, and that Manual mode uses none. A free trial gives 5 AI credits for conversational building, no card required.
What happens to my website if I don't renew Hostinger AI Builder?
Hostinger answers this directly: "if your hosting plan expires and isn't renewed, your project will no longer be accessible and all data will be permanently deleted." Against that, the page also states that "what you build is yours. You can edit or export the complete source code at any time and take it with you" and self-host it elsewhere. So the exit route exists but has to be used before the plan lapses - which matters more here than on a monthly product, because the term is 48 months and the renewal rate is roughly three times the introductory one.
