Introduced in 2012, the Indian commuter bike segment witnessed the entry of Honda Dream Yuga. Notably, the Dream Yuga from Honda two-wheelers India shares its design styling from the popular Honda CB Shine. Positioned as a mass-market commuter bike, the Honda Dream Yuga is simple yet elegant with twin pod instruments comprising speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge. Honda Dream Yuga rivals against the likes of Bajaj Discover 110 and Hero Passion Xpro. Priced at Rs. 56,535 (ex-showroom, Delhi),  the 110 cc bike is available in five colours, red, brown, silver, black, and grey.

What is the power source in this Honda Dream Yuga?


The Dream Yuga comes powered with a performing four-stroke, SI and air-cooled engine which delivers 8.31 BHP at 7500 RPM and peak torque of 9.09 Nm at 5000 RPM. This powermill offers the displacement which is very close to 109 cc with a compression ratio of about 9.9:1. The bore and stroke of the bike are measured as 50.0 mm and 55.6 mm. The engine features viscous paper filter and carburetor fuel system which helps in garnering more power and torque. The valve system is of OHC, 2 valve type and the engine is paired with a four-speed transmission along with multiplate wet clutch which ensures smooth gear shifts.

How quick is the Honda Dream Yuga for your daily commuting needs?

On acceleration front, the Honda Dream Yuga turns out to be a bit laggy. It takes around 8 seconds to sprint 0 to 60 kmph. While we can see that the Hero Passion Xpro is doing quite well. If you commute daily to work then the Dream Yuga can be a reliable bike for you as it catches up speed once you provide throttle. The engine is efficient and reliable as well. On reaching 50-60 kmph mark, the engine becomes smooth and the seamless transmission ensures a hassle-free ride.

How sure-footed are the brakes?

The Dream Yuga comes equipped with a diamond frame type that looks very pleasing to the eyes. The braking and ride quality is again good. While talking about the braking system, both front and rear brake comes with a drum-type of 130 mm diameter. Likewise, the front suspension is of telescopic type and the rear suspension is five-step spring-loaded type manages to provide good feedback. These braking and suspension systems help to stop the bike in any situation while traversing on city streets.

Honda Dream Yuga is known for offering best mileage figures comparatively. Incorporated with Honda’s Eco Technology, the bike assures an excellent fuel efficiency. How is the ride dynamics?


The Dream Yuga offers an excellent seating position with a good wide handle providing a comfortable feel. It has enough supportive footpegs for both the rider and the pillion and the well-cushioned seats add better convenience for the rider and pillion. The long seat feature adds ample space and more luxury. The rear is sharp with a body colored grab rail made up of aluminum is light in weight. Its long life viscous air filter has a good life span and doesn’t require cleaning frequently.
