Flipkart has published a clock for this sale, not a discount. Thirteen named deal mechanics, nine tied to time windows, and four of them stacked inside one evening hour.
📅 Update log:
7 November 2026: first published. State read from a rendered browser session on flipkart.com and flipkart.com/big-bang-diwali-store, logged out, from India. Homepage shows "Diwali Sale Live"; the store page's own FAQ gives the 28 October 2026 start date. Flipkart has published no closing date; the end date will be added here the day it does.
Flipkart's Big Bang Diwali Sale 2026 is live. A rendered read of flipkart.com on 7 November 2026 shows the homepage labelled "Diwali Sale Live" with a "Upto 90% off" strip, linking to flipkart.com/big-bang-diwali-store.
Flipkart's own FAQ on that store page gives the start date: "The Flipkart Big Bang Diwali Sale 2026 starts on 28th October 2026." It has published no closing date, and this page does not guess at one — we will add it here the day Flipkart prints it.
What makes this sale different from a straight percentage-off event is that Flipkart has published a timetable. Thirteen named deal mechanics, nine of them tied to clock windows, most of them lasting between thirty minutes and two hours. If you shop it at the wrong time of day you are shopping a different sale.
Flipkart's own words on how the sale works: "No, not every offer runs all day. Some deals only run for specific time slots, some are valid for 30 minutes, and some daily deals keep refreshing throughout the sale." That is the single most useful sentence on the store page, and it is buried in the Q&A at the bottom of it.
The full deal timetable, as Flipkart publishes it
| Deal mechanic | When | What Flipkart says it covers |
|---|
| Diwali Exchange Bonus | 4:00–8:00 PM, daily | Extra bonus when exchanging an eligible old device, on select items |
| Festive Bestsellers | 5:00–7:00 PM | Festive favourites return at Day 0 prices |
| Price Crash | 7:00–8:00 PM | Mobiles, laptops and electronics at special Day 0 prices for one hour |
| Price Drops | 7:00–7:30 PM | Additional discounts on top of sale prices, select products, 30 minutes |
| Flash Sale | 7:30–8:00 PM | One featured product, half an hour |
| Patakha Deals (Brand Hours) | 8:00–10:00 PM | Flat-priced fashion deals and select electronics offers |
| Frenzy Deals | 8:00–8:30 PM | Everyday necessities, valid for 30 minutes |
| Under Rs. 299 | 8:30–9:00 PM | Selected Diwali essentials, festive fashion and décor |
| Tick Tock Deals | New every hour | Discounts beyond event prices on select hardlines and softlines |
| Blockbuster / Tech Top Deals | Daily | Fresh deals on mobiles, laptops and electronics |
| Jackpot Deals | Daily | Clothing, shoes, furniture and everyday living |
| Deals of the Day | New daily | The top 10 bestsellers each day |
| Budget Buys | Throughout the sale | Fixed price points: Rs. 99, Rs. 199, Rs. 399, Rs. 599, Rs. 799, Rs. 999 |
Read the clock column and the evening stacks four deep. Between 7:00 and 8:00 PM the Price Crash hour runs across mobiles, laptops and electronics; inside it, Price Drops runs 7:00–7:30 and Flash Sale runs 7:30–8:00. The Diwali Exchange Bonus is still running until 8:00. Then 8:00–10:00 PM is Patakha brand hours, with Frenzy Deals inside the first half hour and the Under Rs. 299 window from 8:30 to 9:00.
Two of these windows are described by Flipkart as "Day 0 prices" — Festive Bestsellers at 5:00–7:00 PM and Price Crash at 7:00–8:00 PM. Day 0 is the opening day of the sale, so those two windows are Flipkart saying the price returns to what it was on 28 October. If you were watching something on day one and did not buy, those are the two hours to check.
Budget Buys is the only mechanic with published numbers. Flipkart lists six fixed points — Rs. 99, Rs. 199, Rs. 399, Rs. 599, Rs. 799 and Rs. 999 — and describes them as festive essentials.
The payment offers, quoted from the store page
| Payment route | What Flipkart states |
|---|
| Flipkart EMI | No-cost EMI credit up to Rs. 2,00,000 on qualifying payments |
| Flipkart Pay Later | No-cost EMI credit up to Rs. 1,00,000, plus an additional Rs. 1,000 off on qualifying payments |
| Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card | 5% cashback on all orders; new cardholders get Rs. 0 joining fee and Rs. 1,250 worth of vouchers |
| Instant Personal Loan | Up to Rs. 10,00,000 via Axis Bank, eligibility subject to terms |
Notice what is not on that list: a bank instant-discount strip. Flipkart's Big Bang Diwali store page names no "10% instant discount on X Bank cards" the way its Big Billion Days pages have done, and the one card offer it does name — 5% cashback on the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card — is a standing benefit of that card rather than a sale-only offer.
Its own Q&A hedges on this too: "Yes, some bank cards provide extra discounts on selected items. Check the product page and payment terms for details of eligible discounts." In other words, the bank discount is per-product, not storewide. Check it at the product page, not the banner.
The exchange bonus and the Price Crash hour do not overlap for long. The Diwali Exchange Bonus runs 4:00–8:00 PM and Price Crash runs 7:00–8:00 PM, so 7:00 to 8:00 PM is the only hour in the day when a phone upgrade can catch both — a Day 0 price and an extra exchange bonus on the device you are trading in. Flipkart states both apply only on select items.
What the sale banner does not tell you
- "Upto 90% off" is a ceiling, not a typical figure. On the Flipkart shelves we read the same morning, median badges ran 52% on drills and 53% on induction cooktops, and the deepest badges came from inflated stated list prices rather than from the sale.
- A badge is arithmetic on a stated list price Flipkart's sellers choose. On the induction cooktop shelf we found a Sansui at Rs. 2,261 and another at Rs. 3,999 badged 55% and 20% against the identical stated Rs. 4,999 — during this sale.
- No end date has been published. Anything you read elsewhere naming a closing date for this sale is not coming from Flipkart.
- Exchange values and EMI eligibility are assessed per order. Flipkart's own wording is "eligible users", "select items" and "subject to terms" throughout.
- No price on this page. A sale whose own mechanic is that prices change every half hour cannot be reported as a price list; the linked shelf reads carry dated, verified numbers instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
When did the Flipkart Big Bang Diwali Sale 2026 start, and when does it end?
It started on 28 October 2026 and it is live as of 7 November 2026. Flipkart's own Q&A on the Big Bang Diwali store page states: "The Flipkart Big Bang Diwali Sale 2026 starts on 28th October 2026, featuring incredible festive deals on electronics, fashion, home products, and more." The homepage today carries a "Diwali Sale Live" label and an "Upto 90% off" strip. Flipkart has published no closing date for the sale, so we are not naming one — this page will record it the day Flipkart does.
What time are the best Flipkart Diwali deals each day?
The evening, and Flipkart publishes the exact windows. Price Crash runs 7:00–8:00 PM with mobiles, laptops and electronics at what Flipkart calls "special Day 0 prices". Price Drops runs 7:00–7:30 PM and Flash Sale 7:30–8:00 PM inside that hour. Festive Bestsellers runs 5:00–7:00 PM, also at Day 0 prices. Patakha brand hours run 8:00–10:00 PM, with Frenzy Deals 8:00–8:30 and the Under Rs. 299 window 8:30–9:00. The Diwali Exchange Bonus runs 4:00–8:00 PM daily, and Tick Tock Deals refresh every hour.
What are Price Crash and Tick Tock Deals on Flipkart?
Flipkart's own answer: "The Price Crash deal offers select products at discounted rates from 7 to 8 PM, while Tick Tock Deals offers new deals every hour." Price Crash is limited to one hour a day and Flipkart describes the prices in it as Day 0 prices — the opening-day prices from 28 October. Tick Tock Deals are described as offering "discounts and more off event prices on select hardlines and softlines every hour", meaning a further reduction on top of the sale price rather than the sale price itself. Both apply to select products only.
Is there a bank offer on the Flipkart Big Bang Diwali Sale?
Not a storewide instant-discount strip, on the evidence of Flipkart's own store page. The page names four payment routes: Flipkart EMI with no-cost credit up to Rs. 2 lakh; Flipkart Pay Later with no-cost EMI up to Rs. 1 lakh plus an additional Rs. 1,000 off; the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card at 5% cashback on all orders with Rs. 0 joining fee and Rs. 1,250 of vouchers for new cardholders; and an Axis Bank instant personal loan up to Rs. 10,00,000 subject to eligibility. On bank cards generally, Flipkart's Q&A says only that "some bank cards provide extra discounts on selected items" and tells you to check the product page. Treat any bank discount as per-product until you see it at checkout.
Is "up to 90% off" on Flipkart real?
It is a ceiling, and the typical figure is nothing like it. On Flipkart shelves read the same morning as this page, the median discount badge was 52% on drill machines and 53% on induction cooktops. More importantly, the badge is arithmetic on a stated list price the seller chooses, not a measure of the saving: on the induction cooktop shelf, one Sansui at Rs. 2,261 and another at Rs. 3,999 badged 55% and 20% against the identical stated Rs. 4,999, with the same 2,010 ratings behind both. Compare rupee prices across listings rather than trusting the percentage, during a sale as much as outside one.
Prices & codes last verified: November 7, 2026
Every deal mechanic, time window, price point and payment offer on this page is quoted from Flipkart's own Big Bang Diwali store page and homepage, read 7 November 2026 with a rendered browser session, logged out, from India. Flipkart has published no closing date for this sale and none is named here. No product price is quoted on this page, because Flipkart's own Q&A states that some deals run for thirty minutes and daily deals refresh throughout the sale — the linked shelf reads carry dated, verified prices instead. Deal slots, exchange bonuses, EMI limits and card offers are described by Flipkart as applying to "select items" and "eligible users" and are subject to its terms; check eligibility at the product page and at checkout. Nothing on this page is a recommendation to borrow, and the personal loan and Pay Later figures are quoted only because Flipkart publishes them on the sale page.
