BITSAT 2020 is a university-level aptitude test conducted annually by BITS Pilani. The entrance exam will be conducted in online mode in multiple sessions. It's a gateway for admission to Undergraduate Degree Programmes offered at BITS Pilani, K.K Birla Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. The application process started from January 11, 2020, while the exam will be held from August 6 - 10, 2020 (Postponed due to COVID-19) upon further review of the situation. Interested candidates can now apply till the extended deadline for application i.e. 26th April 2020.
Candidates have to make sure they fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling the BITSAT 2020 Application Form. Around 3 lakhs candidates appear for the exam every year. The test pattern consists of 4 sections-Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning. 150 Multiple Choice Questions have to be attempted in a time duration of 180 Minutes.

Step 1: New Registration
Candidates will have to visit the official website - www.bitsadmission.ac.in - and navigate to the “New Registration” link for registering with BITSAT 2020.
A page will open with all the instructions to fill the form, candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Proceed to fill BITSAT 2020’ tab at the bottom of the page.
Fill in the basic details like name, Gender, Contact information and so on.
After entering the captcha for verification, details can be submitted.
Mention Test Center preference (up to 3) from the drop-down menu mentioning BITSAT 2020 Exam center.
Personal details including qualification are to be entered by the candidate.
Confirm and submit the details. There is also an option to edit the information in case of any mistakes committed in the BITSAT 2020 Application Form.
Step 2: Upload Scanned Photograph and Signature
Login again on BITSAT 2020 portal using email ID and password.

Overall, there are two sets of eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2020 as per the course. Candidates should make sure they are aware of and fulfill the requirements for the course they are aspiring to appear in the entrance.
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 board examination or any other exam from a recognized board/university to be eligible for BITSAT 2020. Candidates who are appearing in their qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
BITSAT 2020 Non-Pharma course eligibility requires candidates to pass 10+2 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics)
Minimum 75% aggregate is required in all the subjects overall and a minimum 60% marks in each subject.
Proficiency in the English language is expected from the candidates.
Candidates who passed or are appearing in 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination are eligible to apply for the B.Pharma course through BITSAT 2020
PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are essentially required as main subjects.

BITS Pilani will issue admit card for BITSAT 2020 after April 26, 2020, on the official website bitsadmission.com. Login credentials like Email Id, Username, Application Number and Password for BITSAT 2020 Portal are to be used by the candidates to access the document. Successfully registered candidates can download the same till the exam date.
Hall tickets for BITSAT 2020 are issued after the Slot Booking Process is completed. BITSAT 2020 Admit Card/Hall Ticket is to be carried by the candidate to the exam center along with a valid ID Proof and Photograph (same as the one used in BITSAT 2020 Registration Form).

There is an increasing pool of candidates registering for BITSAT over the years. The exam is conducted as a Computer Based Test for a duration of 3 hours.
The paper format will be in the Multiple Type Questions, where each question will have four options to choose from.
The medium of Exam is only English, BITSAT 2020 requires good proficiency in this universal language
There is no sectional time limit allotted, candidates have to themselves define the time they want for each section and manage it.
Answers once marked can be changed anytime if candidates are unsure of their response.
Once the exam gets over, the number of correct and incorrect answers will be immediately displayed on the screen.

Logical Reasoning: Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning
BITS Pilani declares results in online mode initially in the form of scorecard and then as iteration for each round of counseling. Results for the 2020 session will be declared on June 20, 2020. Login credentials are required for candidates to access their scorecards. Iteration rounds will contain a list of admitted candidates as well as waitlisted candidates.
In situations where one or more candidates secure the same scores a tie-breaking rule is applied in BITSAT 2020 in the following order:
Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics/Biology will be ranked higher.
If the tie persists, a candidate with high marks in Physics will be preferred.
Post which, marks in Chemistry will be undertaken to break the tie.
As a last resort to break the tie, marks scored by the candidate in 10+2 will be considered.
Conducting the body of BITSAT 2020 prepares an 'Admit List' on the basis of marks secured by the candidates. Name of Shortlisted candidates for the further counseling process. The admit list will be declared in different iteration sessions. An admission application form is to be submitted by the candidates before the prescribed deadline.
Candidates who do not find a seat in iteration rounds are put in the waitlist category. The list prescribes that candidates mentioned have to wait for their chance to get admitted to institutions participating in BITSAT 2020.
