Paid memberships in Indian e-commerce almost all work the same way: you pay once, and the charge comes back every year until you go looking for the setting that stops it. Bewakoof's TriBe membership is built the other way round, and the terms say so plainly: it "will automatically be cancelled after the period is completed and would not be auto-renewed".
The terms are published, but not where you would look for them — they sit inside Bewakoof's general terms and conditions page rather than on a membership page of their own. We read them on 13 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing bought and no membership purchased.
Below: both plans and what they work out at per month, exactly what the delivery benefit covers and the four conditions attached to it, the refund asymmetry between you cancelling and Bewakoof cancelling, and the small print on marketing emails and liability. Every figure and clause is quoted from Bewakoof's own page. Nothing here is legal advice.

"Annual TriBe Membership Yearly (valid for 12 months from date of activation) Rs. 399 (Inclusive of all taxes)… Your TriBe membership will automatically be cancelled after the period is completed and would not be auto-renewed."
📅 Update log:
13 October 2026 — First publication. Bewakoof's terms and conditions page read in full from bewakoof.com/terms-and-conditions, logged out, in India, nothing bought and no membership purchased; the Bewakoof TriBe terms are published as a section within that page rather than on a dedicated membership page. Approximately 27,000 characters of text and 164 sentences over 45 characters. Captured and quoted: the contracting-entity statement; the promotional-trial clause; the full membership-term table with both plans, their tenures and their fees inclusive of taxes; the plan-change and eligible-payment-method clause; the non-refundable fee clause; the no-auto-renewal clause; the India-residency, foreign-card and Pay-on-Delivery restrictions; the delivery-benefits clause and all four of its conditions including the mixed-order charge, the address and preference warning, the free-standard-delivery fallback and the size-and-weight exclusion; the right to accept or refuse membership; the marketing-communications clause; the no-transfer clause; the no-resale clause; the add-or-remove-benefits clause; the activation-on-payment clause; the cancellation and termination clauses including the pro-rated refund and its conduct carve-out; the capitalised limitation of liability; the governing-law and Mumbai jurisdiction clause; the named Grievance Officer and Nodal Officer; and the contact address. Per-month figures on this page are our own arithmetic over Bewakoof's published fees. Content verified 13 October 2026.
The part worth leading with: it does not auto-renew
Almost every paid membership in Indian e-commerce renews itself. You sign up once, and the charge reappears a year later whether you remembered it or not. Bewakoof's TriBe membership does the opposite, and says so in its own terms.
Verbatim: "Your TriBe membership will automatically be cancelled after the period is completed and would not be auto-renewed. You will need to purchase the membership again to continue and enjoy the privileges of a Bewakoof TriBe member."
That is a genuinely customer-favourable default and it belongs at the top of any honest write-up of this programme. It also changes how you should think about the price: this is a one-off purchase with an expiry date, not a subscription you need to remember to kill.
We found these terms where most people never will — inside Bewakoof's general terms and conditions page, rather than on a dedicated membership page. We read it on 13 October 2026, logged out, in India, with nothing bought.
Verbatim, from Bewakoof's published TriBe terms, read 13 October 2026: "Your TriBe membership will automatically be cancelled after the period is completed and would not be auto-renewed. You will need to purchase the membership again to continue and enjoy the privileges of a Bewakoof TriBe member."
What TriBe costs, and which plan is the better rate
| Plan | Term, as published | Fee, as published | Works out at |
|---|
| Annual TriBe Membership | "Yearly (valid for 12 months from date of activation)" | Rs. 399 "(Inclusive of all taxes)" | Rs. 33.25 a month |
| Half-yearly TriBe Membership | "Half-yearly (valid for 6 months from date of activation)" | Rs. 299 "(Inclusive of all taxes)" | Rs. 49.83 a month |
Both figures are Bewakoof's own published membership fees, quoted from its terms page and described there as "Inclusive of all taxes". The right-hand column is our arithmetic over those figures, nothing more.
The annual plan is Rs. 100 more than the half-yearly one for twice the term. Per month that is Rs. 33.25 against Rs. 49.83 — the half-yearly plan costs about 50% more per month than the annual one. Given that neither plan renews on its own, the usual reason for preferring a short subscription — limiting how long an unwanted charge can run — does not really apply here.
The terms also note that "The payment method(s) eligible to be used for different TriBe membership plans may vary, and Bewakoof reserves the sole right to determine the eligible payment methods for each TriBe membership plan", and that you "may select the Bewakoof TriBe membership plan of your choice and you can change the membership plan at any time".
What you actually get — and the conditions attached
This is where a membership page usually oversells, and where the terms are more careful than the marketing. The benefit is delivery, and it is conditional in four separate ways.
"Bewakoof TriBe Delivery Benefits depends upon inventory availability, order deadlines, and the delivery address. They are limited to certain products sold on the Bewakoof.com website. Products eligible for Bewakoof TriBe will be designated as such on their product pages."
So: not every product, not every address, and subject to cut-off times. The terms add that "If only some items in your order are eligible for Bewakoof TriBe, you will pay applicable charges for the ineligible items", and that "Changing or combining orders, or changing your delivery address, speed, or preferences might affect Bewakoof TriBe eligibility".
There is a fallback, and it is the most useful sentence in the section: "For items that are not available for fast delivery, Bewakoof TriBe customers will receive free standard delivery." Some purchases may be excluded from the fast tier anyway — "Certain purchases may only be entitled to standard shipping because of their size, weight, and other shipping characteristics."
The practical test before you buy the membership is simple: look at the product pages you actually shop, and check whether the items you buy carry the TriBe designation. The terms say the designation is there; they do not promise it is on everything.
The rules, line by line
| Question | What the terms say | Short answer |
|---|
| Does it auto-renew? | "Your TriBe membership will automatically be cancelled after the period is completed and would not be auto-renewed. You will need to purchase the membership again to continue and enjoy the privileges of a Bewakoof TriBe member." | No — and that is unusual |
| Refund if you cancel? | "If you cancel a Bewakoof TriBe membership, the membership fee will be not be refunded in any case." (source's own wording) | No |
| Refund if they cancel? | "We may terminate your Bewakoof TriBe membership at our discretion without notice. If we do so, we will issue a credit note to you and give a prorated refund based on the remaining term" | Yes, pro-rated — unless the carve-out applies |
| The carve-out on that refund | "we will not give any refund for termination related to conduct that we determine, in our discretion, violates these Terms or any applicable law, involves fraud or misuse… or is harmful to our interests or another user" | Bewakoof decides |
| Who can buy it | "you confirm that you are a resident of India. You cannot use a credit or debit card issued outside India" | India residents, Indian cards |
| How you can pay | "You cannot pay for membership fee for Bewakoof TriBe using Pay on Delivery (POD)." | Prepaid only |
| When it starts | "Your paid Bewakoof TriBe membership will be activated only on successful payment… made through the Bewakoof.com website." | On payment, not on sign-up |
| Can you share it? | "You may not transfer or assign your Bewakoof TriBe membership or any Bewakoof TriBe benefits" | No |
The asymmetry to understand before paying: if you cancel, the fee is "not be refunded in any case". If Bewakoof terminates, you get a credit note and a pro-rated refund — unless it determines the termination relates to conduct that breaches the terms, involves fraud or misuse, or is "harmful to our interests or another user". Since the membership expires by itself, there is rarely a reason to cancel early in the first place.
The small print most people will never read
Marketing emails are not optional. The terms state: "We may send you email and other communications related to Bewakoof TriBe and your Bewakoof TriBe membership (regardless of any settings or preferences related to your Bewakoof account)." That is unusually frank, and worth knowing if you manage your inbox carefully.
The benefits can change. "From time to time, Bewakoof may choose in its sole discretion to add or remove Bewakoof TriBe membership benefits." And membership itself is not guaranteed on application: "We reserve the right to accept or refuse membership in our discretion."
No reselling. "Bewakoof TriBe members are not permitted to purchase products for the purpose of resale, rental, or to ship to their customers or potential customers using Bewakoof TriBe benefits."
Liability is capped at what you paid. In capitals: "OUR TOTAL LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT EXCEED THE LAST MEMBERSHIP FEE YOU PAID." On a Rs. 399 product that is a rupee figure most readers can picture, which is more than can be said for the dollar-denominated caps in some comparable agreements.
Trials exist but are not described. "We may sometimes offer trials or other promotional memberships to certain customers… the term / tenure for such promotional memberships may be different from the Tribe Terms." If you are offered one, read what comes with it rather than assuming these terms apply unchanged.
Where disputes go, and who to contact — quoted verbatim
- Governing law and venue: the terms "shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and disputes arising in relation hereto shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai."
- The contracting entity: "These Tribe Terms are between you and Bewakoof Brands Private Limited and/or its affiliates".
- Named Grievance Officer: "Any discrepancies and grievances with respect to processing of SPDI shall be informed to the designated Grievance Officer under the IT Act as mentioned below: Name: Labeesh Lakshmanan, Email: care@bewakoof.com". The same person is named as Nodal Officer. Publishing a named officer and a working contact address is a point in the document's favour.
- General contact: "Questions about the Terms of Service should be sent to us at care@bewakoof.com."
- Changes to the terms: "We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes… constitutes acceptance of those changes."
- Prices generally: elsewhere on the same page — "Prices for our products are subject to change without notice."
- Order limits: "We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order."
Is TriBe worth Rs. 399?
That depends on something only you can check, and the terms tell you exactly what to check. The benefit is delivery on products "designated as such on their product pages", with free standard delivery as the fallback on items that do not qualify for the fast tier.
So the honest answer is arithmetic you can do yourself: work out what you currently pay in delivery charges on Bewakoof over a year. If that exceeds Rs. 399, the annual plan pays for itself on the terms as published; if you order once or twice a year, it almost certainly does not. We have not bought the membership, placed an order or tested a single delivery, and this page makes no claim about what any order would actually cost or how fast anything arrives.
What we can say with confidence is what the document does well. It publishes its prices inclusive of taxes. It does not auto-renew, and says so. It names a real person as Grievance Officer. It caps its liability in rupees rather than a foreign currency. And it is honest that benefits are conditional rather than implying they are blanket. Those are not small things in a category where the opposite is normal.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Bewakoof TriBe membership cost?
Bewakoof's own published terms list two plans: "Annual TriBe Membership Yearly (valid for 12 months from date of activation) Rs. 399 (Inclusive of all taxes)" and "Half-yearly TriBe Membership Half-yearly (valid for 6 months from date of activation) Rs. 299 (Inclusive of all taxes)". Working those figures out per month gives Rs. 33.25 for the annual plan against Rs. 49.83 for the half-yearly — the short plan costs about 50% more per month. Read 13 October 2026; fees are Bewakoof's published figures and can change without notice.
Does Bewakoof TriBe auto-renew?
No, and the terms say so explicitly: "Your TriBe membership will automatically be cancelled after the period is completed and would not be auto-renewed. You will need to purchase the membership again to continue and enjoy the privileges of a Bewakoof TriBe member." That is unusual for a paid membership and it is worth crediting — it means the fee is a one-off purchase with an expiry date rather than a recurring charge you have to remember to cancel.
Can I get a refund on a Bewakoof TriBe membership?
It depends on who ends it. If you cancel, the terms are flat: "If you cancel a Bewakoof TriBe membership, the membership fee will be not be refunded in any case" (the wording is the source's). If Bewakoof ends it, "we will issue a credit note to you and give a prorated refund based on the remaining term" — except where the termination relates to conduct Bewakoof determines "violates these Terms or any applicable law, involves fraud or misuse… or is harmful to our interests or another user". This describes published wording; it is not legal advice and does not affect any statutory right.
What do you actually get with Bewakoof TriBe?
Delivery benefits, conditionally. The terms state they "depend upon inventory availability, order deadlines, and the delivery address", are "limited to certain products sold on the Bewakoof.com website", and that eligible items "will be designated as such on their product pages". If an order mixes eligible and ineligible items, "you will pay applicable charges for the ineligible items". The fallback: "For items that are not available for fast delivery, Bewakoof TriBe customers will receive free standard delivery." Check the designation on the products you actually buy before paying for the membership.
Who can buy Bewakoof TriBe, and how can you pay?
India residents, on Indian cards, prepaid. The terms require that "you confirm that you are a resident of India" and state that "You cannot use a credit or debit card issued outside India to pay for any membership fee" and "You cannot pay for membership fee for Bewakoof TriBe using Pay on Delivery (POD)". Membership "will be activated only on successful payment… through the Bewakoof.com website", it cannot be transferred or assigned, and Bewakoof "reserve[s] the right to accept or refuse membership in our discretion".

Every quotation on this page is Bewakoof's own published text, read on 13 October 2026 from bewakoof.com/terms-and-conditions, logged out, in India, with nothing bought, no membership purchased, no order placed and Bewakoof not contacted. Quotations are reproduced verbatim, including the source's own grammar and punctuation — the phrase "the membership fee will be not be refunded in any case" is reproduced as published, and that wording is the source's, not ours. Any emphasis is ours. The membership fees quoted on this page are Bewakoof's own published figures from its terms page, read on the stated date, and are described there as inclusive of all taxes; the per-month figures are our arithmetic over those published fees and nothing more. Fees, plans, benefits and terms change without notice and may already differ from what is described here. This page describes what one published document says. It is a summary for general information, it is not legal, tax or financial advice, and it must not be relied on as a statement of your contractual or statutory rights. Nothing on this page assesses whether any clause described is valid, binding, fair or enforceable — that is a matter for a court or a regulator. Statutory consumer rights apply to a transaction regardless of what any contract document says, and nothing here limits them. Nothing on this page alleges or implies any wrongdoing, unfair contract term, dark pattern, misleading advertising, non-compliance or breach of law by Bewakoof Brands Private Limited or any of its affiliates. On the contrary, several features of this programme — publishing tax-inclusive prices, declining to auto-renew, naming a Grievance Officer, capping liability in rupees and stating plainly that benefits are conditional — are better practice than is common in the category, and this page says so. The page was read as text, which flattens its tables and lists and may omit structure; the TriBe terms incorporate Bewakoof's other published terms, policies and its Privacy Policy by reference, and those are not reproduced here and may qualify what is described. We have not purchased the membership, placed any order, received any delivery or tested any benefit, and this page makes no claim or representation about delivery speed, delivery charges actually incurred, product eligibility, order fulfilment or the value any individual would get from the membership. Whether the membership is worth its fee depends entirely on an individual's own ordering pattern; the arithmetic suggested on this page is a method, not a recommendation, and no product, plan or purchase is recommended anywhere here. Promotional and trial memberships are expressly stated by Bewakoof to be capable of differing from these terms. The version published on bewakoof.com at the time you read it prevails over anything on this page, and you should read it before buying.
