One hundred and eleven festive bag listings read on 2 October. The badge tells you which brand you are looking at, and almost nothing else.
Festive bags are bought once a year and compared for about forty seconds, which is why this shelf is worth reading slowly. One brand has 16 of the 111 listings here and prints the identical Rs. 4,999 list price on every one of them, so its bags at Rs. 900 to Rs. 1,100 all show 78% to 82% off. A clutch at Rs. 930 from another label shows 45%. Below: all 111 listings read as multiples rather than percentages, and why AJIO publishing no ratings makes the badge the only thing left to go on.
Every price below was pulled from AJIO on October 2, 2026 and checked against the MRP on the listing. Stack them with the live codes on our AJIO coupons page, which the deals desk re-verifies daily.
A single brand holds 16 of the 111 listings on this shelf and states the identical maximum retail price of Rs. 4,999 on every one. The bags cost Rs. 900 to Rs. 1,100, so the badges run 82% down to 78% - arithmetic on a fixed number.

Below Rs. 400 the badges get deepest and the multiples get silliest - 6.51x and 6.25x on bags selling at Rs. 399 and Rs. 320. This is also where the shelf stops being festive bags and starts being slings and totes.
Rs. 399 against a stated Rs. 2,599, the shelf's deepest discount.

Why it earned its spot The cheap potli with the more plausible of the two cheap list prices.
An everyday tote at Rs. 949 against a stated Rs. 4,140.
Why it earned its spot A direct-to-consumer brand pricing like the deep-discount block.
An embellished potli clutch at Rs. 719 against a stated Rs. 4,229.
Why it earned its spot The second-deepest brand block on the shelf, at a median 80%.
First: divide, do not read the percentage. Every card on this page publishes the stated MRP as a multiple of the asking price, and that one number separates this shelf instantly - 1.01x on the brand that shows 1% off, 5.00x on the Rs. 1,000 clutch, 6.51x on the Rs. 399 one. Twenty-four of the 111 listings show 78% or more and twenty of those twenty-four belong to just two brands. Second: compare at a price point, not across the shelf. Six bags here sit between Rs. 900 and Rs. 1,099 with badges of 80%, 74%, 55%, 55%, 45% and 45% - and within that Rs. 199, the Rs. 930 clutch has the second smallest badge and the Rs. 1,000 one has the largest. Once you are in a band, the badge is noise. Third: remember there are no reviews to fall back on. Not one of the 111 listings publishes a star average or a review count, which is AJIO's own practice on its listings. That removes both the usual quality signal and the duplicate-listing check - matching identical rating counts - that we use on Myntra, Amazon and Flipkart shelves, so on this shelf we genuinely cannot tell you whether two similar cards are one bag. Fourth: check what kind of bag the card is. These queries return slings, totes and hobo bags alongside potlis and box clutches, and below about Rs. 400 that is most of what the shelf is - the cheapest listing in the read, at Rs. 210, is a sling bag.

Each selling price, stated MRP and discount badge on this page was read on 2 October 2026 from ajio.com's own search results for 'potli', 'clutch bag' and 'ethnic bag', logged out, in India, with nothing purchased. One hundred and eleven listings were returned and 20 are seated. Nothing was bought, carried or opened.
For every card we divide the stated maximum retail price by the selling price and print the result - 1.01x at the shallowest, 6.51x at the deepest. An MRP is a figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any bag here was ever sold at one, so every percentage on this page is arithmetic over two numbers a seller chose rather than a measured saving.
Where this page says a brand runs a flat badge or a narrow band, that is computed across all of its listings in the read - 16 for the Rs. 4,999 block, 15, 11, 9, 6 and 4 for the others - not across the cards we chose to seat. Brands with a single listing are excluded from those comparisons entirely.
Not one of the 111 listings in this read carries a star average or a review count. That is AJIO's own behaviour on its listings rather than a gap in our reading, and it is why the discount badge is the only number on these cards that resembles information - and why the duplicate-listing check we use elsewhere, matching identical rating counts, cannot be run on this shelf at all.
'Embellished', 'pearl', 'bling', 'croc-embossed', 'braided', 'self-design', 'embroidered', every material, every closure type and every colour name on this page is the listing's own printed text, reproduced as printed. We did not buy, unbox, carry, open or load a single bag, and nothing here says any of them is well made or will last.
In this read of 111 listings, Rs. 210 to Rs. 8,100 with a median of Rs. 1,000. Embroidered and embellished potli bags cluster between Rs. 320 and Rs. 1,100; box clutches sit mostly between Rs. 900 and Rs. 1,100; branded leather-look clutches and handbags run Rs. 1,300 to Rs. 4,500. The median discount badge across the whole shelf is 65%. These figures describe the 111 listings AJIO's own search returned for 'potli', 'clutch bag' and 'ethnic bag' on 2 October 2026, not its full catalogue, and nothing was purchased.
Because the badge is computed from whatever list price the brand states. Two bags in this read are both exactly Rs. 900 - one shows 82% off against a stated Rs. 4,999, the other 55% against a stated Rs. 1,999. A clutch at Rs. 930 shows 45% while a clutch at Rs. 1,000 shows 80%, so the cheaper bag has the smaller badge. We publish the stated MRP as a multiple on every card for this reason: 2.22x and 5.55x on those two Rs. 900 bags. An MRP is a figure the listing displays and we have not verified that any bag here ever sold at one; MRP practice varies widely across Indian brands and no wrongdoing by AJIO or any seller is alleged.
We cannot tell you why, only that it does. One brand accounts for 16 of the 111 listings in this read and states the identical maximum retail price of Rs. 4,999 on every one of them, with selling prices from Rs. 900 to Rs. 1,100 and badges from 82% down to 78%. Because the denominator never changes, the badge is simply a restatement of the price. Eighteen of the 111 listings state Rs. 4,999 in total. Setting one list price across a product range is ordinary and lawful, and nothing here alleges otherwise - but it does mean a discount sort on this shelf largely sorts by brand.
Because AJIO does not publish them on its listings. Not one of the 111 listings in this read carries a star average or a review count, and that is the platform's own behaviour rather than a gap in our reading - we have found the same on every AJIO shelf we have read. It has two consequences worth knowing. The badge becomes the only number on a card that looks like information, which this page argues it is not. And the check we use elsewhere for spotting one product listed several times - an identical star average with an identical review count - cannot be run here at all, so on this shelf we cannot tell you whether two similar cards are the same bag.
On what this shelf publishes, the honest answer is that it depends on a look rather than on a number, because there are no reviews to weigh. If you want a stated list price that means something, the brand showing 1% off - Rs. 1,583 against Rs. 1,599, Rs. 2,177 against Rs. 2,199 - is pricing at its own MRP, and a 1.82x multiple on a Rs. 1,099 embroidered potli from a known label is the most plausible list price among the mid-priced festive bags. For a bag used a few times a year, Rs. 320 to Rs. 364 buys an embroidered potli and the twelve-point badge difference between those two is not a reason to pick either. We did not buy, carry or open any bag on this page. Prices change without notice and can differ at checkout after coupons or delivery charges.
